RSL
Transmitter Kit with integrated RDS encoder
DESCRIPTION
A complete stereo FM transmission system for RSL broadcasters
supplied complete with matched folded dipole aerial and
20m of feeder cable. The unit is supplied fully configured
and just requires a stereo feed from your studio to get
you on air within minutes.
An
RDS encoder is included with the kit which broadcasts
station name (PS), PI, PTY information and can be pre-programmed
on your behalf before delivery. Power
levels can also be set in advance depending on your licensed
power level and feeder cable length.
The
50W capacity of this transmitter means it is particularly
suitable for RSL's licensed at 25W who require long feeder
cables lengths. The minimum power level on this particular
model is 5 Watts.
Although
the unit is set up in advance depending on your particular
requirements, most of the functions of the transmitter
and RDS encoder remain directly controllable from two
LCD front panels.
The
unit boasts an integral limiter / compressor, digital
stereo encoder and harmonic filter and is FCC certified
/ RTTE-CE compliant.
The
aerial included needs to be clamped in a suitable position
to provide optimum coverage. As every installation is
different, we do not supply mast fittings and clamps as
standard, however can supply these items on request. Although
installation is often a simple procedure, we would recommend
you commission the services of a suitably experienced
aerial installer who would normally undertake the work
for a nominal fee.

Q:
Do I need a separate processor / compressor?
A: The transmitter unit already boasts comprehensive
processing and level control circuitry and produces
a clean, commercial sound without the need for additional
processing.
Q: Can you install the aerial for us?
A: Unfortunately due to insurance limitations

However most TV aerial installation engineers can
install this type of aerial and typically charge
